What these papers are, and are not
These are WAJD practice papers, not exam board papers. They follow the pattern of the GCSE science papers in England: two tiers, each question a topic asked in parts that climb in difficulty, about 40% knowledge, 40% applying and 20% analysing, the share of maths each subject sets (10% biology, 20% chemistry, 30% physics), and questions on the required practicals. The questions themselves are new, written by our question engine, so every paper is different. Teachers are reviewing them.
Marking is on your final answers. Real science papers also have six-mark written answers, which a machine cannot mark fairly, so these papers leave them out: practise those with a teacher or tutor. Your results show the grades of question you are securing; they do not predict a grade, because grade boundaries change every year. For official past papers, see our directory of exam board papers.
