Free to ask

Find a tutor

Tell us what you need help with. An approved WAJD Academy tutor who teaches that subject at that level will contact you directly. There is no fee to ask, no account to create, and no obligation to book.

What do you need help with?

It takes about a minute. Your details go to one tutor only, and never to a list.

Needed only for lessons in person.
One of the two is enough. Most tutors reply faster to a phone number.

How it works

  1. You tell us what you need. Subject, level, and whether you would like lessons online or in person.
  2. We match it. Your enquiry goes to approved tutors who teach that subject at that level.
  3. One tutor takes it. Only that tutor sees your contact details, and they get in touch to agree times and fees with you directly.
  4. You decide. Nothing is booked and nothing is charged until you say so.

What we promise

Every tutor is vetted. Approved by us, with an Enhanced DBS check and identity verification before they take a student.
Free to ask, always. WAJD takes no commission and no booking fee. What you agree with your tutor is between you and them.
One tutor, not a list. Your details go to the single tutor who takes the enquiry. You will not be rung by six agencies.
You do not have to wait. Every lesson, quiz and past paper on WAJD is free to use today, tutor or no tutor.

Questions parents ask

How much does a tutor cost?

Tutors set their own rates and agree them with you directly, as they would anywhere else. Typical private tuition in the UK runs from about twenty five to fifty pounds an hour depending on subject, level and where you live. WAJD adds nothing to that figure and takes no cut of it.

Why is it free to ask?

Because WAJD Academy is free. The platform is funded so that families who cannot afford tuition still get the lessons, practice and past papers. Connecting a family to a tutor costs us nothing extra, so we do not charge for it.

How are tutors checked?

Every tutor applies with their subjects, levels, experience and DBS position, and no application is approved without an Enhanced DBS check, identity verification and a short interview. Tutors who are still being reviewed cannot see or take enquiries at all.

What happens to my details?

They are stored so the tutor who takes your enquiry can contact you, and they are shown to that one tutor only. Nobody else sees them, they are never sold, and you can ask us to delete them at any time by writing to us from the contact page.

What if no tutor gets in touch?

Tell us and we will pass the enquiry on. A tutor who takes an enquiry and then goes quiet loses it automatically after a week, so it returns to the pool for someone else to answer.

Do we have to pay for the rest of WAJD?

No. Every course, lesson, quiz, past paper and revision tool on WAJD Academy is free, with no trial and no upgrade. A tutor is an optional extra you arrange yourself.
